Laverne Cox

Laverne Cox is on TIME magazine this week. When she was little and lived in Mobile, Alabama, she was bullied because she was feminine. She eventually moved to New York and began acting. She is the starred in the Netflix drama Orange is the New Black. She is also on the first season of I want to Work for Diddy. Laverne is one of the most recognizable transgender people. In April, she was given a GLAAD for her work as an advocate for the transgender community.
